Queens Wedgewood Houston
MZA worked closely with the SNAP neighborhood association, Converge, and Councilmember Colby Sledge to develop a project that is both supportive of the existing residential neighborhood and adds to the connectivity of the community in Wedgewood Houston; goals we have been pursuing in multiple projects around our office and gallery, designed in collaboration with EOA Architects and Hawkins Partners Landscape Architects.
The site includes 220 multi-family units, a neighborhood restaurant & rooftop bar at the corner of Hagan & Hamilton and eleven live/work units to continue the tradition of makers/artists living and working in Wedgewood Houston.
A feature that we are most proud of, is the conversion of the dead-end portion of Moore Avenue into a park area designed to provide outdoor space for both existing and new families.
