Luogo

Luogo is a elevated Italian restaurant, located in the Gulch neighborhood of Nashville.  Speaking to the old-world Italian style, with a clean, refreshed aesthetic, the restaurant includes nods to both old and new.  Drawing on the client's authentic and family-style dishes, the space provides a comfortable, but refined atmosphere for patrons to enjoy true Italian cuisine.  Luogo, meaning "The Place" in Italian, strikes a unique balance between classic Italian cuisine and architecture and fresh flavors, materials, and imagery.

The project required balancing a fast-track schedule with a high level of detailed design that needed careful consideration.  We collaborated with the owner and the GC from the beginning of the design process to meet these requirements and to actively make adjustments to the design and selections to ensure on-time and under budget delivery.

Project scope included space planning, relocation of the existing bar, expansion of the existing kitchen, coordination with equipment provider, re-design/opening up the previously hidden away private dining room, selection/detailing of finishes, fixtures, and furniture, and design/detailing of custom banquettes, booths, tables, back bar shelves, host stand, and server stations.
