Bare Bones Butcher

MZA designed Bare Bones Butcher, a 1,600-square-foot butcher shop, bar, and informal restaurant in Nashville's Nations neighborhood with multiple uses. At the core, it is an immersive experience: patrons can observe meat cutting through a sizeable window flanked by custom steel shelving filled with locally sourced produce and products. Collaborating with Ferrin Ironworks, Southern Lights Electric, and 5 String Furniture added unique steel elements, dramatic lighting, and cozy furnishings. Eye-catching hand-painted signs boast an interesting yet well-kept vibe where customers can enjoy well-chosen meats, excellent beers, and lunches in both an upscale and welcoming environment.
