Maiz DLV opened last week in Nashville's Paseo South Gulch development on 8th Avenue, and we had the honor of getting a sneak peak of the menu offerings at the friends and family soft opening. Needless to say, we can't wait to get back for more!
Our clients, Julio Hernandez (James Beard Semifinalist Chef) and Andy Mumma (owner of Chopper Tiki and Barista Parlor), came to us with a concept focused on heirloom-crafted Mexican cuisine. This has been such a fun project, starting with the food which is an art unto itself! If you've tried Julio's birria at the Maiz DLV food truck outside of Chopper or at the tortilla shop in Bordeaux, you know it's the real deal.
With unapologetic pops of color and elevated, curated details throughout the restaurant, we embraced the moment. Big thanks to the crafts and talents of our local Nashville community of creators, including The McClure Co., Mesa, Isle of Printing, Hazelwood Labs, Fortify, and more, for helping make this a beautiful, fun space to enjoy some of Nashville's best food.
