MZA is looking to supplement our experienced, 15-person team with an individual interested in developing their professional skills.  This individual should have 0-5 years of professional experience, an interest in expanding their knowledge about architectural practice, and a desire to grow over time.  The candidate should be able to develop presentation drawings, participate in design charettes, and provide drafting/production support on projects of diverse typologies, scales, and budgets.  This person will work with and under the supervision of designers, project architects, senior leadership, and other staff members to foster their professional growth within the company.  The candidate should be self-directed, flexible, creative and able to multi-task. MZA is prepared to commit the time and resources to developing a new team member; the right candidate will also be prepared to reciprocate that commitment.

 

Duties:

  • Document existing building conditions
  • Support and collaborate with the design team, including all types of consultants.
  • Assist with preparation of drawings during all phases of design documentation including production of architectural plans, elevations, details and 3d imagery.
  • Participate in project meetings, offering constructive criticism and ideas for design development.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Professional degree from a NAAB accredited architecture program
  • 0-5 years of experience in an architecture firm
  • Revit proficiency
  • Familiarity with a variety of presentation software
