We're pleased to welcome Lindsay Schnarr to MZA!

Lindsay began working with MZA as a consultant in March of 2020, and officially joined the firm in January of 2022. She is a registered architect in Massachusetts, where she lives with her husband and two young children. After graduating from the Master of Architecture program at UMass Amherst in 2011, she worked at a local firm where she met MZA’s Andy Grogan before he moved back to Nashville a few years later, unknowingly paving the way for future collaborations between them across (many!) state lines.

Lindsay has managed and designed residential, academic, institutional, office and retail projects for firms in western Massachusetts, Boston and New York City. Lindsay also enjoys teaching architecture classes at her alma mater, where she has mentored and advised students since 2014. She serves on the Amherst Design Review Board and co-founded the Emerging Professionals chapter of the Western Massachusetts AIA in 2012.

With a background in art and science, Lindsay is passionate about the unique blend of analytical and abstract thinking that architecture offers and is excited to be part of a firm that explores every angle of both. As a native resident of northern California and northwest Arkansas, Lindsay has spent her life traveling throughout the country and has a strong appreciation for the unique history and context of site. She aims to bring forward the narrative of place in her work as an architect and designer.
